The Electrical Student Association of the Faculty of Engineering, UNY (HME FT UNY) holds an annual agenda, namely the Electrical Workshop which is divided into two competencies, electrical engineering and mechatronics. Garin Alkautsar, chairman of HME FT UNY said that the theme raised was "Be Sooner Be Smarter". The activity which improves academic achievement is carried out for three weeks, namely, March 31, April 7, and April 21 2018.
The purpose of the workshop is to increase the competence of students of the Electrical Engineering Education Department by providing material and direct practice in the laboratory using the trainer module. The competency refers to the students' skill that is shown by his ability to consistently provide an adequate performance level. The Electrical Workshop is divided into two materials, the Electrical Installation Workshop and the PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) Workshop. The Electrical Installation Workshop was held on March 31 2018 entitled "Electrical Installation and Energy Audit & Basic Practices of Motor Control with Magnetic Control" which was delivered by Alex Sandria J. W., M. Eng. The workshop which was held at the Electrical Installation Laboratory received full enthusiasm from the participants who were students of the Electrical Engineering Education Department.
Meanwhile, the delivery of material and practice directly using PLC was given directly by Andik Asmara, M.Pd with "Introduction to PLC to Face the Industrial Revolution Era 4.0". PLC competency is very relevant to the development of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 where all work is carried out automatically. This activity is expected to be able to equip students in taking the next semester's lectures so that they can boost academic achievement and hone their competency skills.
